At Trueface, we care about the people we serve, and that includes how we handle your information. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect when you visit our websites or use our app, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

This policy covers growdisciples.org (including the GROW app and platform), trueface.org, discipleshipframework.com, trueface.store, the Trueface Life app (hosted on Mighty Networks at truefacelife.mn.co), and the emails we send you. Trueface is operated by Leadership Catalyst Inc. dba Trueface.

What we collect

Things you share with us. When you create an account, sign up for a course or retreat, give a gift, buy something from our store, subscribe to our newsletter, take an assessment like the GROW Profile, or send us a message, we collect what you provide. That usually includes your name, email, mailing address, phone number, church or organization, and your responses or order details.

If you give or make a purchase, your payment is handled by a secure third-party payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

Assessment responses. When you take the GROW Profile, we collect your responses so we can generate your results. We use these to give you your personalized results and to send you relevant content and campaigns. When results are shared with a church or organization you're connected to, they receive aggregate, high-level information about their people as a whole. A church does not see any individual's answers or individual results.

Things we learn from your visit. Like most websites, ours use cookies and similar tools to understand how people use the site: which pages you visit, how you got here, what device and browser you're using, and your general location (city or region, based on your IP address). If you're on our email list, we can also see when you open or click an email.

How we use it

We use your information to:

Deliver what you asked for, such as your account, course access, order, donation receipt, or answer to your question
Keep in touch with newsletters, podcast updates, event invitations, and ministry news (you can opt out anytime)
Generate your assessment results and recommend resources that fit where you are in your journey
Run our community and courses, including showing your profile to other participants when you choose to share it
Understand what's working on our sites so we can improve them
Thank our donors and keep accurate giving records for tax purposes
Keep our sites secure and follow the law

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information, and we never will. We share it only when we need to:

With the tools that run our ministry. We use trusted providers for things like our websites, email and CRM (we use HubSpot and Virtuous CRM), our community platform (Mighty Networks), payment processing, store fulfillment, and site analytics (including Google Analytics). They can only use your information to do work for us.
With ministry partners. If you join a program we run together with a partner, we share what's needed to deliver that program, and we'll tell you when that's the case. For example, our GROW one-day events are hosted in partnership with RightNow Media, and we may share a guest list to run the event.
With your church or organization, in aggregate. As described above, a church connected to the GROW Profile receives high-level, aggregate results about their people, never an individual's answers.
With other community members. Whatever you post or share in the Trueface Life app is visible to the people in that community.
When the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our people and our ministry.

Cookies and your choices

When you visit one of our sites, a banner lets you make choices about non-essential cookies. Some cookies are essential: they keep you logged in, remember your cart, and save your preferences. Others help us with analytics or measuring how well our outreach is working, and in the future we may use cookies for advertising or social media. You can control non-essential cookies through the banner or the cookie settings on our site, and you can also block cookies in your browser. The specific choices available to you may depend on where you live.

Your rights

You're in control of your information. At any time you can:

Unsubscribe from our emails using the link at the bottom of any message
Update your account or community profile in your settings
Ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we have about you
Ask us to stop sending you postal mail

Just email us at info@trueface.org and we'll take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional legal rights, and we'll honor those too.

A few more things

Kids. Our sites and app are meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If a program involves younger participants, we work through their parent, guardian, or church.

Where your data lives. Trueface is based in the United States, and that's where your information is stored and processed, even if you're visiting from elsewhere.

Keeping it safe. We use reasonable safeguards, including encryption, access controls, and reputable providers, to protect your information. No system is perfect, so please keep your password private and let us know if you see anything suspicious.

How long we keep it. We keep your information as long as we need it to serve you and meet our legal obligations. Donation records, for example, have to be kept for tax purposes. After that, we delete or anonymize it.

Links to other sites. We link to places like YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X, and partner sites. Their privacy practices are their own.

Updates. If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for anything significant, let you know by email or a notice on the site.
